A number of
radio controlled evaluation models have been constructed and
thoroughly tested. The best of all features will be incorporated into
the full-size boat. The hull design speed is around 4.5 knots and
this has been easy to achieve. She is difficult to capsize but
self-rights in a few seconds. Directional stability is good and
should prove to be easy on the helmsman. This also means that a
simple tiller-pilot (auto pilot) should keep course when the helmsman
needs to sleep!
